Gigaset A690HX cordless phone combines the convenience of everyday calls with a broad range of features. It is equipped with a high-contrast, monochrome 2" display, HD-quality sound, and a phonebook for 150 entries with VIP function. Long talk and standby times of up to 12 and 180 hours let you use the handset without frequent charging.

Clear display and convenient keypad

The handset is equipped with a backlit, monochrome 2" (5.1 cm) graphic display with a resolution of 96 × 64 pixels. In standby mode, it shows the date and time, signal strength, and battery charge level, while during a call it displays the call duration. Enlarged font improves readability, while the ergonomic, high-quality keypad with large buttons ensures convenient operation.

HD-quality sound

The handset provides excellent sound quality and meets the requirements of the CAT-iq 2.0 (HD Voice) standard. Calls in hands-free mode are also delivered in HD quality, while two hands-free profiles help achieve optimal audibility. The handset and ringtone volume can be adjusted across 5 levels, while the ringtone is played through the hands-free speaker. The handset is also compatible with hearing aids.

Convenient call management

The phonebook for 150 entries with VIP function lets you conveniently store contacts, while caller ID (CLIP / CNIP) works for incoming calls and call lists. The list includes the 25 most recent missed calls with number or name and time, and numbers can be dialed directly from the call list. A 32-number blacklist helps reduce unwanted calls, while calls from withheld numbers are indicated visually only. In day / night mode, the ringtone is temporarily muted, except for contacts marked as VIP. Thanks to the Plug & Play function, installation is easy: unpack, connect, and start talking.

The handset also offers room monitoring (baby monitor) with intercom function, as well as an alarm clock with snooze function and selectable melody. It also supports ECO DECT, which automatically reduces transmission power depending on the distance between the base station and the handset.
